iciHaiti - Santiago de la Cruz : 5-day ultimatum to illegal Haitians

Walfri Labul, the Director of the Municipal District of Santiago de la Cruz, in Dajabón, issued a 5-day ultimatum to all Haitians in an irregular migratory situation in this municipality, whom he accuses of committing cattle theft, to return to their country.
Walfri Labul said he took this measure after being tired of asking the General Directorate of Immigration to resolve the situation of illegal foreigners in this city who "keep the peasant community of Santiago de la Cruz in anxiety with the constant theft of cattle."
He assured that in October to date, more than 40 cows had been stolen and taken to Haiti, some of which were recovered thanks to the rapid intervention of the Dominican army.
