Ambassador Dennis B. Hankins and the entire U.S. Embassy team wish to express our deep condolences to all those affected by this horrific incident. The United States is committed to working with Haiti, the Haitian National Police (PNH) and the MSS mission to restore security to the country. We are clear-eyed about the many challenges ahead and remain steadfast in our support to the Haitian people. In December alone, we delivered multiple types of critical equipment and supplies to the HNP and to the MSS mission. A well-equipped HNP and MSS mission are critical to continuing the fight against gangs that aim to destabilize the country through vicious and senseless attacks on fellow Haitians. The United States remains committed to supporting the Haitian people in their efforts to achieve stability and build a brighter future for all of Haiti.
