iciHaïti - Diaspora : Visit of the Minister of MHAVE to the Consulate of Haiti in New York 25/01/2025 08:49:30
An initiative that reflects the Ministry's commitment "to facilitate access to safe and reliable identity documents, thus guaranteeing every Haitian living abroad the opportunity to fully exercise their civil rights during upcoming electoral competitions and to actively participate in national decision-making." During this visit, the Delegation evaluated the effectiveness of the identification services provided to Haitians in the diaspora; the identification of necessary improvements to make services more accessible and faster and to consolidate the collaboration between the MHAVE, the ONI and diplomatic representations, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in order to better meet the expectations of the diapsora. Minister Verdier reiterated her commitment to working closely with all State entities and relevant partners, to offer a quality identification service, essential for the integration and strengthening of ties between Haiti and its diaspora.
