As part of the modernization and improvement of services offered to our compatriots in the diaspora, Kathia Verdier, the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE), accompanied by a delegation including, in particular, the Director General of the National Identification Office (ONI), Reynold Guerrier, carried out an evaluation visit this week, followed by a working meeting with the managers of the identity document production centers of the Consulate of Haiti in New York

An initiative that reflects the Ministry's commitment "to facilitate access to safe and reliable identity documents, thus guaranteeing every Haitian living abroad the opportunity to fully exercise their civil rights during upcoming electoral competitions and to actively participate in national decision-making."

During this visit, the Delegation evaluated the effectiveness of the identification services provided to Haitians in the diaspora; the identification of necessary improvements to make services more accessible and faster and to consolidate the collaboration between the MHAVE, the ONI and diplomatic representations, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in order to better meet the expectations of the diapsora.
