In her speech, Pedrica Saint Jean, Minister for the Status of Women and Women's Rights, reiterated that promoting positive masculinity is a strategic priority for building a more just and egalitarian society. To this end, she stated her full commitment to transforming the social norms that perpetuate inequality and normalize violence. "[...] we are making a strong and conscious choice to promote a positive masculinity that is not synonymous with domination or silence, but rather one that is open, respectful, supportive, and profoundly human." In closing her speech, Ms. Saint Jean emphasized the collective nature of this project. The Minister invites everyone to fully embrace the positive masculinity approach, whose full implementation requires a concerted commitment from all of the country's institutions : "This fight is not a struggle for women alone. It is everyone's business. Together, let's ensure that Haitian women and girls can live in a society where their dignity is protected, their voice respected, and their future assured."
