iciHaiti - Qatar : Condolences from the Haitian Government
The Embassy of Haiti in Qatar expresses its deep sorrow and offers its sincere condolences to the Government of Qatar, the Amiri Diwan (Princely Palace of Doha), and the Qatari people, following the tragic road accident near Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, which claimed the lives of three people and seriously injured two others.

According to the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Cairo, "Prince Saud bin Thamer Al Thani and two diplomats : Abdullah Ghanem Al Khaireen and Hassan Jaber Al Jaber" died in the accident. "Abdallah Issa Al Kuwari and Mohammed Abdulaziz Al Bouainain" were injured and are in intensive care at Sharm el-Sheikh Hospital.

According to initial reports, the accident occurred early Sunday morning near the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. The accident is believed to have been caused by a loss of control of the vehicle caused by a tire explosion and excessive speed.

"In these difficult times, the Embassy of Haiti shares the grief of the bereaved families and extends its best wishes for courage and comfort. It also wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.

The Haitian people share the pain of the Qatari people and join in their mourning.

Haiti reaffirms its solidarity and friendship with Qatar, as well as its support for the country's ongoing efforts to promote stability and dialogue in the region and around the world."
