Haiti - DINEPA : 5959 Call Center now operational
On Friday, November 21, 2025, the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA) held the official ceremony for the revitalization and relocation of the 5959 Call Center. The ceremony was attended by a representative of the Minister of Public Works, numerous DINEPA officials, representatives from the Regional Office of Drinking Water and Sanitation (OREPA-West), the Port-au-Prince Metropolitan Area Technical Operations Center, and several distinguished guests.

In his address, Engineer Théophil Ostinvil, Director General of the institution, who presided over the ceremony, emphasized that the commissioning of the 5959 Call Center constitutes "an essential pillar in bringing the institution closer to the population [...] who will be able to communicate more easily with the institution and quickly access EPA (Drinking Water and Sanitation) services."

By facilitating communication, the receipt of complaints, and the search for rapid solutions, the 5959 call center will not only allow for better management of user requests, but also for optimization of the operation of water and sanitation systems thanks to faster feedback from different neighborhoods.

With the final commissioning of this Call Center, DINEPA is taking another step in the modernization of its services, offering the population a reliable, accessible tool entirely dedicated to listening to, monitoring, and processing requests related to the EPA sector.
