The Organization of American States and the Inter-American Committee Against Terrorism (OAS-ICCET) continue to strengthen security capabilities in the Caribbean through training.

This training, hosted by the Government of The Bahamas through the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF), whose support and logistical assistance make this initiative possible, is part of a broader regional effort to enhance Haiti’s operational capabilities and improve maritime security throughout the Caribbean.

As part of ongoing cooperation with Haitian Customs, participants are now taking part in practical sessions aboard commercial vessels, applying advanced inspection techniques to detect illicit goods, weapons, and other forms of transnational crime.
