iciHaiti - Centre : 10 community restaurants mobilized

Faced with a major humanitarian crisis in the Central Plateau, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé instructed the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), under the leadership of Serge Gabriel Colin, to intervene immediately to support the population.

Every citizen, every family, is at the heart of this government action, and all the communes in the region are affected. Residents welcomed this initiative with relief and gratitude.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed that no one will be left behind and that the government remains committed to protecting and supporting the most vulnerable.

As part of this intervention :

• 10 community restaurants have been mobilized to produce 10,000 hot meals daily, providing a daily meal for thousands of families.

• The FAES is also distributing essential food kits, ensuring direct and immediate assistance to all those in need.

This mobilization demonstrates the government's capacity and commitment to responding effectively and compassionately to the suffering of the population. The Prime Minister calls on all sectors of society, institutions, and international partners to support this initiative so that every citizen can regain dignity and food security.

The Head of Government will continue to closely monitor the situation in all departments, with particular attention to the Central Plateau, until the crisis is brought under control and families can return to normal daily life.
