Following ship search training ( https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-46298-icihaiti-bahamas-ship-search-training.html ), the Organization of American States and the Inter-American Committee Against Terrorism (OAS-CICTE) are continuing to strengthen security capacities in the Caribbean with container inspection training, conducted by the Border Management Section.

As part of ongoing cooperation with Haiti, officers from the Haitian National Police and Customs Administration participated in practical container inspection exercises alongside their Bahamian counterparts. They applied advanced techniques to identify illicit goods, weapons, and indicators of transnational organized crime.

This training, organized by the Government of the Bahamas through the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) with financial support from the Government of Canada, is a key element of the regional effort to strengthen Haiti's operational capabilities and improve security at Caribbean ports and points of entry.
