iciHaiti - Certificate presentation : Fifty police officers become trainers in Community Police
On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, Vladimir Paraison, Acting Commander-in-Chief of the Haitian National Police (PNH), in the presence of members of the High Command, Cristobal Dupouy, Special Representative of the Secretary General of the OAS in Haiti, Lieutenant Pascal Courtemanche, Representative of the Ambassador of Canada to Haiti, and police officers of all ranks, presented certificates to approximately fifty police officers, now trainers in Community Police.

This training, focused on rebuilding social cohesion and promoting peace in Haiti, was conducted as part of the cooperation between the Organization of American States (OAS) and the PNH, with the support of the Embassy of Canada in Haiti. Lasting 12 months and divided into two cohorts, this training program aims to promote peace, solidarity, secure governance, and a lasting relationship of trust between the police and the public through Community Education Policing (EduPOL).

Commander Paraison urged the new Community Policing trainers to act as role models for citizens, thereby strengthening the bonds between the police and the community.
