iciHaiti - New Year : The Prime Minister stands with the people

On the night of December 31, 2025, to January 1st, 2026, to mark the arrival of the new year, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, accompanied by Presidential Advisor Edgard Leblanc Fils, visited the Champ de Mars, specifically the O. Jeanty kiosque , to symbolically mark the entry of the Haitian nation into 2026 alongside its people.

In a national context marked by significant security, social, and economic challenges, this presence among the citizens of downtown Port-au-Prince reflects the Government's commitment to remaining close to the people, attentive to their concerns, expectations, and aspirations.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister reiterated that national unity is a fundamental pillar for restoring peace, strengthening security, and achieving lasting stability. He emphasized that collective hope must be accompanied by responsible and consistent actions in service of the common good.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the Government's commitment to pursuing economic and social recovery efforts and to working towards establishing the necessary conditions for holding free, credible, and inclusive elections, essential for restoring democratic order.

On this January 1st, a pivotal date in National history (and the 222nd National Independence Day), this meeting was intended as a message of continuity of the State and shared responsibility : despite the difficulties, the Nation remains strong. It is through unity, peace, and stability that the country can move towards a better future.
