iciHaiti - Crime : 4 decapitated women discovered near the Dominican border
On Monday, February 2nd, 2026, authorities in the Dominican Republic announced the gruesome discovery of the decapitated bodies of four women along the border with Haiti.

Diego Pesqueira, the police spokesperson, stated that the victims were Haitian and that the bodies were found in the southern part of the border. He added that Dominican authorities were investigating only one of the four victims, as only one body was discovered on the Dominican side.

According to Pesqueira, investigators believe the women were killed and then thrown into a river, which carried their bodies to where they were found.

Members of the Dominican Army (ERD) arrested a Haitian national in the Elías Piña border area during a patrol and control operation near the Macasías River, the Ministry of Defense announced.

He was identified as Chin Laduse and found hiding in bushes on the riverbank, accompanied by a minor, also Haitian, whom he presented as his son.

According to information provided by Laduse himself to the patrol, he stated that he was hiding for fear of reprisals in Haiti, where he is accused of involvement in crimes related to the deaths of several women whose decapitated bodies were allegedly found in the river.

According to some sources, following these accusations, a mob set fire to his house in Haiti.

After their arrests, the man and his son were transferred under military guard to the Dominican Army's La Estrelleta fortress, where they were placed at the disposal of the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) for biometric registration and other necessary formalities before being handed over to the Haitian National Police (PNH) in accordance with bilateral cooperation protocols.

The Haitian National Police (PNH) did not respond to a request for comment; it is currently unknown whether the man has been charged.
