36th graduating class : 1,192 new police officers join the ranks of the PNH

On Friday, May 29, 2026, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé presided over the graduation ceremony for the 36th class of the Haitian National Police (PNH), the second cohort of the P4000+ program, comprising 1,192 new police officers, including 238 women (19.97%), at the National Police Academy on Route de Frère in Pétion-ville.

The ceremony took place in the presence of Pedrica Saint Jean, Minister for the Status of Women; Vladimir Paraison, Acting Director General of the PNH; Mario Andresol, Minister of Defense; as well as several members of the government, high-ranking officers of the police force, and public administration officials.

This new graduating class, named "The Indigenous People" (Les Indigènes) is part of the government's strategy to restore state authority and strengthen security forces, alongside the Haitian National Police (PNH), the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H), and the Gang Repression Force (FRG), in the context of the gradual reconquest of strategic areas of the country.

Minister Saint Jean took the opportunity to present gifts of encouragement to two outstanding young women from this 36th graduating class, in recognition of their determination and excellence within this new police cohort.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed his government's firm stance against armed groups : "zero tolerance," restoration of security throughout the country, and continued efforts toward institutional stabilization.

He also paid tribute to police officers who have fallen in the line of duty.
