iciHaïti - Environment : The EU chooses the 2026 World Cup to promote values among Haitian youth (video)

The environmental campaign Mwen Ka Aji launched with the release of the music video created with the artist Kanis, Ansanm nou ka aji..., released to coincide with International Environment and Ocean Days.

Filmed in Cap-Haitien and shared on social media, the video invites young people to recreate its choreography and helps to widely disseminate an awareness message against littering in public spaces. The European Union is proud to be associated with this historic moment for Haiti by supporting awareness-raising efforts among Haitian youth throughout June.

"Mwen Ka Aji represents a long-term and committed intention: to put young citizens at the heart of the debate, to give them a voice, to invite them to take action, and to inform them. The campaign developed during the 2026 World Cup reflects the continuity of the EU’s actions and activities in Haiti. With one priority : strengthening the capacities of young people by recognizing their civic role and giving them a voice at all levels : democracy, the environment, the fight against gender-based violence, fact-checking..." recalls Ms. Hélène Roos, the European Union Ambassador to Haiti.

The campaign will continue in July, with an expansion linked to the FIFA World Cup, at the Stade Relax and on Ayibosport’s channels.

To mark the Grenadiers’ historic return to the FIFA World Cup, the European Union is supporting the efforts of the Stade Relax in Kako Bourjolly (Peguy-Ville) to welcome young people through sport. The challenge will be amplified on the field during the first three matches involving the Haitian national team. Kakos’ Kids and Sakapfet invite the stadium audience to participate in a contest to recreate the choreography from the music video and win an official Grenadiers jersey on June 24th.
