During the 14th anniversary celebrations of the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ), Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé reaffirmed the Government's commitment to strengthening the rule of law through an independent, impartial, and credible justice system, a cornerstone of democracy and public trust in institutions.

The Prime Minister reiterated that strengthening the judicial system remains a national priority. He highlighted the efforts undertaken to consolidate judicial institutions, promote ethics within the judiciary, and intensify the fight against organized crime, armed gangs, corruption, and impunity.

Addressing security challenges, the Prime Minister reaffirmed the Government's determination, alongside the Haitian National Police (PNH) and the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H), to continue the fight against criminal groups. He emphasized the need for a firm judicial response to ensure that perpetrators of crimes are held accountable before the law.

The Prime Minister also reiterated that restoring security is an essential condition for holding free, credible, and transparent elections. He commended the CSPJ's strategic role in the electoral process and called on all judicial actors to guarantee the integrity of the democratic process.

On this occasion, Jean-Joseph Lebrun, President of the CSPJ, reviewed the institution's main achievements over its fourteen years of existence and reaffirmed his commitment to pursuing reforms aimed at modernizing the Haitian justice system.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of the plans for the future Palace of Justice, a symbol of the authorities' commitment to modernizing judicial infrastructure and building a more efficient justice system to serve the population.
