New Dean at the Faculty of Dentistry

Dr. Edgard Prophète was elected to the second round, Friday, May 25 to the position of Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry of the State University of Haiti (UEH), with 65.42% [30 votes of staff, 32 teachers and 51 of students]. 31 people have voted blank. This victory was obtained unopposed following the withdrawal of outgoing Dean Jean Marius Lafond.

Tabling of the new national budget on June 30 ?

The Senator Jocelerme Privert, President of the Senate Finance Committee, urged Monday the Government Martelly-Lamothe to take all necessary steps in order to submit to Parliament on June 30, the next national budget to enable parliamentarians to better analyze it according to the needs demanded by the situation in Haiti.

Bad loser ?

Friday, the CEO of the Fonted, a transportation company, has accused, on the airwaves of a radio station of the capital, the NGO PSI-Haiti of skulduggery as part of a tender. The NGO has strongly rejected these accusations, explaining that the contract was awarded in compliance with procedures and that the contract was transparent and documented.
