Nearly 2.2 billion gourdes for the operating of Parliament
In the draft of budget law for fiscal year 2012/2013 tabled in Parliament on June 30, the operating the operating budget of the Chamber of Deputies is 1.24 billion gourdes including more than 827 million used to pay salaries of over 500 employees. The difference is provided for expenditure of services and miscellaneous expenses. The Lower House has, 200 million gourdes as investment budget. The Senate operating budget is just over 993 million gourdes, nearly 615 million will be used to pay salaries of 698 regular employees. The difference is provided for expenditure of services and miscellaneous expenses. The Senate has, 50 million gourdes as investment budget.

Training for Journalists on the Question of Disability
Last week, the Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of Disabled People organized in partnership with the Organization of American States (OAS), a training seminar for about thirty journalists on the "The role of media in the process of social inclusion of disabled people". The seminar aimed at strengthening the critical capacity of journalists vis-à-vis the country's reconstruction with respect to the accessibility and social inclusion, of people with special needs in the life of the Nation.
