FIFA downgrades Haiti...

In the latest world ranking of the FIFA published this Wednesday, August 8, Haiti lost 18 places and pass from the 62nd to the 80th position with 435 points. Haiti is now 9th in the CONCACAF region.

The EU conditioned its aid for the road infrastructures

Friday, Carlo De Filippi, Charge d'Affaires of the Delegation of the European Union which completes its mission in Haiti this Saturday, warned the Government "The EU will not fund [new] road infrastructure projects, if the Haitian government does not have a maintenance program for these infrastructures."

The passports are ready, the Consulate of Haiti in Guadeloupe apologizes

The Consulate General of Haiti in Guadeloupe with jurisdiction on the Martinique, Dominica and St Martin (French part) informs the Haitian community that the requests for passports produced by fellow Haitians during the period 16 May to 13 July 2012 are available at the counter of the Consulate. The Consulate apologizes for the delay on the delivery of these passports due to a scarcity of booklets and also hopes not have caused prejudice to the efficient functioning of the Mission or to the Haitian Community located in the jurisdictions aforementioned.

Venezuela vote a program of assistance for Haiti

The Deputies of the National Assembly of Venezuela on Tuesday approved a bill approving a cooperation program between Venezuela, Argentina and Haiti to promote economic recovery in Haiti. The agreement, called "Strengthening of agriculture and health in Haiti" is intended to help Haiti to overcome its dependence in terms of imports, through the development of family farming.
