The ADIH congratulates the Government Martelly-Lamothe
The Association of Industries of Haiti (ADIH) takes note of information from the Inter Institutional Committee of fight against smuggling, reporting an increase in customs and tax revenues for the month of July 2012. Stressing that these first results are a positive sign for our local producers, for too long victims of unfair competition of smuggled goods. Training of Directors of Procurement
Wednesday, during a visit in the commercial center of Vernet, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe announced that fifteen Directors of procurement would go to Mexico soon, to be better trained in the management of procurement.

Food processing
By lack of processing and preservation of food, Haiti lost each year millions of dollars, while in neighboring Republic, some of our products (mango, banana, coffee, but, lemon, orange, grapefruit, etc.. ) are processed and sold at high prices abroad. The Haitian government has informed, that it had decided to give the country of certain processing capacity of food and that investments would be made in the establishment of an industrial core that is expected to grow and modernize.

Installation of two new municipal commissions
This week, Mathias Lauréus, the Secretary of State to Territorial Collectivities has proceeded to the installation of two new municipal commissions, to replace the mayors Frantz Théodat (Tabarre) and Ronald Andrys (Jacmel), whose term had expired for several months. The new team of Tabarre is composed of Serge Auguste, Chenet Coriolan and Wine Bouzy and to Jacmel the team is composed of Hugue Paul, Jean Solages and Juvenol Jean-Pierre.
