Stéphanie left the country for Ecuador
Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, has left Haiti, Monday, September 10 in Ecuador, as part of its participation in the 54th meeting of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for the Americas in Quito. She will return to Haiti on Thursday.
S&H Global will create 1,000 jobs by the end of the year
Economic/Commercial Chief John G. Robinson visited S&H Global's apparel factory in Caracol, Northeast Haiti. As the anchor tenant in the Caracol Industrial Park, S&H will employee 1,000 Haitians by year's end and 20,000 at full capacity. Apparel exports to the United States benefit from U.S. Trade preferences under HOPE/HELP legislation.
