Flights canceled

The American Airlines flight (AA 866) departing from Port-au-Prince to New York (JFK) was canceled. The Delta Air Lines (DL 692) departing from Port-au-Prince to New York (JFK) was canceled. The flight Delta Air Lines (DL 699) from New York (JFK) to Port-au-Prince has been canceled. American Airlines flight (AA 837) to Port-au-Prince has been canceled.

Clearing works arrested to the River Grise

The Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Development, inform the population living on the bank of the river Grise that because the water level, the rapid action taken to carry out the cleaning of the river, can not move forward. The Ministry of Agriculture assures the population that it will soon find a solution to stop the course of the river.

Benedict XVI in solidarity with the victims of Sandy

In front of thousands people gathered on Saint Peter's Square at the Vatican to pray the Angelus on Sunday, Pope Benedict XVI expressed his solidarity with the victims of Sandy "I want to ensure you of my proximity [...] I invite you all to pray and to the solidarity to alleviate the pain of the families of victims and offer assistance to thousands of people affected."

A group of Haitian children will launch an album

A group of Haitian children (mostly orphans) who live in an IDP camp in Port-au-Prince, have prepared an album as part of project "Casa Niños de Esperanza". This album contains 12 songs, composed by Father Freddy Elie, a Haitian priest, will be launched soon as part of a fundraiser in favor of the reception and training of the next generation of young Haitians.
