Road accident in Vialet

On Sunday, a 12 year old girl has lost her life in Vialet around 10:00 am after being reversed, when she crossed the street, by a bus "Voix des anges". Guitho Lesperance, the bus driver shocked declared "it is not my fault [...] I did everything to avoid this misfortune [...]" Following this accident, the driver, helped by a police patrol, who was there, had to take refuge in the police station of Petit-Goâve to avoid being lynched by the population... UNESCO's support to Tourism in Haiti

The United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO), through Michaëlle Jean, his Special Envoy for Haiti, last week has expressed a willingness to support the efforts of the Haitian Government in terms of Tourism. This tour in Haiti responded to various objectives, especially on the issues of civil protection and of assessment of potential of cultural and tourism heritage in the country according to Ms. Jean.
