3rd annual exhibition of Christmas trees in Atlanta

Haiti participates for the first time at the third annual exhibition of Christmas trees "Winter Wonderland" at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History. 32 countries are represented in this exhibition of Christmas tree decorated only with traditional craft ornaments. The Fernbank Museum is located at # 767 Clifford Road NE, Atlanta, Ga 30307. The exhibition lasts two months, from 17 November 2012 to 17 January 2013.

Subsidy program for students, started

Friday, November 30, 2012, the subsidy program for students in public universities of the Government Martelly-Lamothe, "Kore etidyan" started in the north of the country. Several thousand students have registered in the program and will each receive 18.000 Gourdes per year.

Reminder of the PNH

In a note the National Police of Haiti informs drivers that it is illegal to ride on board vehicles with tinted windows and/or wearing flashing without permission. The persons concerned must obtain formal authorization from the Director General of the PNH, Godson Aurélus.

Île-à-Vache, Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism

Monday, the île-à-Vache was at the center of discussions of a workshop organized by IBI Group, Daniel Arbour & Associés (DAA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism. The participants presented their views on the type of touristic development suitable for Île-à-Vache. Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism were the main topics discussed at this day of reflection.

Mario Dupuy in Paris

Monday, Jean Mario Dupuy, the Minister of Culture, was in session in Room XII of UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, where runs the 7th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
