Air Transat found premature to talk about vacation package
A team of leaders of Air Transat visited the regions of Port-au-Prince and Jacmel last month to conduct an exploratory visit of four days. "We can confirm that we have open discussions with representatives of the country and we do not close the door to a future collaboration for vacation packages," declared the spokesperson of the tour operator which states, however, that it would be "premature" to talk about the launch of a new package.

Rice prices 33% reduction
This week, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe recalled at the Council of Government that the rice imported by the Haitian government, must be sold to 18 gourdes small pot, or a reduction of 33% noting that inspectors of the Ministry of Commerce will be deployed in markets to ensure that the price will be respected.

Steven Benoit, First Secretary of the Senate Bureau, indicated that following the decision of 15 senators, 5 Ministers (Finance, Agriculture, Public Works, Planning and Environment) are convened in the Senate, Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, to explain the amounts disbursed under the state of emergency and the revenue collected by the General Administration of Customs and the Directorate General of Taxes.
