Le DG du Ministère de l’environnement, blessé par balles
Friday, Kenn Duval, Director General of the Ministry of Environment, was hit by two bullets by unknown gunmen in Delmas 2. Wounded, he was rushed to the hospital. According to available information, his days are not in danger. The circumstances under which the attack occurred, are still unknown.

Closing days - U.S. Consulate
The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince will be closed on Monday, December 24, 2012. Those with confirmed appointments Nonimmigrant Visas, Immigrant Visas, and American Citizen Services for December 24 should come at the same time on Wednesday, December 26.
