License plate change for all PNH vehicles
The General Directorate of the Haitian National Police (PNH) announces an official change to the license plates on all the institution's cars, heavy vehicles, and motorcycles. Across the country's 10 geographic departments, all vehicles used for police interventions and operations will begin displaying a new plate design. To enable the public to easily identify PNH vehicles and avoid any confusion, these new plates feature the following official characteristics : • A white background featuring a yellow map of Haiti; • The country's name (Haiti) written in French vertically along the left side, with the national emblem (coat of arms) positioned directly beneath it; • A sticker located at the top, to the left of the registration number; • The national flag placed at the bottom, on the right side; • The word "Police" clearly written below the registration number, followed underneath by the country's historic slogan: "La Perle des Antilles" (The Pearl of the Antilles). The Police General Directorate emphasizes that this change is a strategic move designed to strengthen the identity of and control over police vehicles, thereby preventing malicious individuals from using fake plates to commit criminal acts. The PNH relies on the vigilance and unwavering cooperation of every citizen to continue supporting law enforcement in their ongoing efforts to restore order, security, and peace throughout the national territory.
