A delegation from the Department of Political Affairs and Human Rights of the Ministry of Interior and Territorial Communities, headed by Mr Venus Myrthée Thebaud led a mission in the Departments of the North, North-East of Artibonite and Centre, to investigate on the reputation and references enjoyed by owners of Radio Fiat FM (Pignon), Radio Inter Mix (Cap-Haitien), Radio La Victoire (Pignon), Radio Culturelle d’Haïti (Saint-Marc), Radio Chaleur FM (Bas Nord-est), Radio Média FM (Saint-Marc). The survey revealed among other things that some media existed only by names ... This information will be processed by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce for appropriate action...

Carnival excursions are popular

The Ministry of Tourism has completed its second day of the series of t xcursions it organizes, under the National Carnival in the Cite de l'Independence (2, 3 and 4 March). Already, several bus Dignité, filled with excursionists wishing to explore the sights of the Artibonite Department, went to several destinations, among other : Palace 365 doors, Hot Springs, Fontaine Bleue. Haiti featured in Ecuador

Saturday ended an exhibition of Haitian Art and the Film Festival on Haitian Culture in the premises of the Ecuadorian Culture House (Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana). An initiative of the Embassy of Haiti in Ecuador in collaboration with the "Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana" and "Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar." A series of lectures on painting, migration and historical contribution of the independence of Haiti in Latin America completed the exhibition. The well-known Haitian artist Kristo residing in the USA and the young Haitian student Jeanel Quito, were the guests of honor. This great first in Ecuador has been a success.

Visit of FAES in Léogâne

Last week, as part of the Support Programme for the Reconstruction of Léogane (RELEO) the Fund of Economic and Social Assistance (FAES) organized a visit of supervision in the City of Anacaona. Launched on 23 May 2010 and funded by the German Development Bank (KFW), the RELEO program's mission is to support the restoration of the City of Anacaona, strongly affected by the earthquake of 12 January 2010.
