In 2014, 5,025 Haitians have risked their lives at sea
The Coast Guard 7th District estimates that in the fiscal year 2014, 5,025 Haitians, 3,326 Cubans and 539 Dominicans have attempted to illegally migrate via the sea. Coast Guard crews repatriated 86 migrants to Haiti and Cuba yesterday aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Valiant.

Agricultural Aid in Los Palmas and Jacob
Saturday, Thomas Jacques, Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development, also coordinator of the Special Plan of Las Palmas and Jacob (Borough of Hinche, Central Department) visited these two communal sections, to see the progress of projects of the Government. The people of Jacob began to receive Agricultural tools and the Minister has promised them seeds.

71,332 moms have already received the special aid of 4 months
The Economic and Social Assistance Fund launched last month a special payment for 4 months of subsidy of more than 166 million gourdes for the benefit of 78.619 beneficiaries https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11737-haiti-social-ti-manman-cherie-provides-over-166m-gdes-to-78-619-mothers.html The Government is proud to see that 71,332 moms have already received their payment and 93% of the subsidies have already been disbursed.

National Literacy Campaign in Jacmel
Saturday, Marie Carmelle Rose Anne Auguste, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, in charge of Human Rights and the Fight Against Extreme Poverty, met at the School of Basic Application-Pedagogical Support Centre (EFACAP) of Jacmel, a couple of school directors as part of the national literacy campaign.
