First promotion of the Community Police in School

Friday at the National Police School (ENP), will take place the graduation of the first class of the Community Police in School (Police Communautaire Éducative - PEC). This newly created entity will work in in the school environment, in order to prevent and reduce alcohol, drugs and the use of weapons (firearms and edged weapons) within schools.

Certification of the 40 Entrepreneurship laureates

On Wednesday, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), with the support, in particular of the KOTELAM cooperative, of the Foundation "Etre Ayisyen" and of Ministry of Trade and Industry, proceeded to the certification of 40 laureates of entrepreneurship courses of project "Laboratory of Innovation and Economic Development" (LIDÉ) initiated in November 2014 in the neighborhood of Fort National. The 40 graduates will benefit of a one-year coaching and grants ranging from 500 to 1.500 US dollars, which should serve as boost to the launch of their business.

New Health Centre in Petit Bourg de Borgne

On Wednesday, the First Lady Sophia Martelly accompanied including by Florence D. Guillaume, Minister of Health,

proceeded with the inauguration of a new health center in Petit Bourg de Borgne (North) "My plea has not changed. I renew my commitment to improving the living conditions of every Haitian, through health," reiterated Sophia Martelly.

Minister for the Status met the PNH

Yves Rose Morquette, Minister for the Status of Women and Women's Rights, accompanied by her Chief of staff and her Director General, met with a delegation from the Haitian National Police (PNH) around the strengthening of the Office of the struggles against violence against women and girls, through increased police presence for a work in synergy.

Allegation of corruption in the justice

The Ministry of Justice consider it useful to bring to the attention of the public that it work on the issue of alleged corruption that has occurred in the jurisdiction of Gonaives in the case Madsen Clervoyant / Duclas Marcelin, in order to shed light on the facts that would be alleged against the Government Commissioner of this location and the Substitute whose name has been mentioned, the Ministry has formed a commission of inquiry that will have to submit its report within 48 hours. While launching an appeal for calm to the population of Gonaïves, the Ministry provides the guarantee that the strictest measures will be applied as appropriate, in the context of this case.
