iciHaiti - Justice : The CONATEL forbids unsolicited SMS
Following numerous complaints from citizens who receive late at night or during the day, unsolicited commercial/advertising SMS message unsolicited, the National Council of Telecommunications (CONATEL) recalls that there is a regulatory decision, to protect citizens from these abuse.

This decision #OE-CNT-DEC20140001 published in the official newspaper "Le Moniteur" of 8 September 2014, stipulates in particular in its Article 4 "It is forbidden for any, operators or service providers to transmit unsolicited commercial/advertising SMS from eight pm to eight am, except in case of emergency or natural disaster or on request of the competent authorities."

The decision also provides penalties for non-compliance with this decision.
