iciHaiti - Education : School children take the street in Petit-Goâve
Monday many schoolchildren, accompanied by school principals and teachers from different schools involved in the Universal Schooling Program Free and Compulsory (PUSGO) took the streets of Petit-Goâve to ask the Ministry of National Education to pay the salary arrears of teachers working in the program.
The students chanted about hostile to the Minister of Education, Nesmy Manigat whose they demanded the resignation... Very angry, they tried to force the leaders of other schools in the city to send their students at home. No incidents were reported.
