iciHaiti - Security : Touristic road seriously damaged
The road leading to the tourist site of the Saint Grégoire Cave, located in the 12th section of the commune of Amongon to Aquin, is increasingly difficult to access. This road, badly damaged following the recent rains, is the main access route to the cave site, very popular with tourists and pilgrims. The degradation of this stretch of road, is a loss to the tourism sector, which is the main activity of the population has informed the Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities (MITC).

On the other hand MITC reports that several sections of unpaved roads connecting the communal sections of the city of Cabaret are currently in poor states. Especially in the 2nd section and the 4th communal section of Boucassin, which are impractical following the torrential rains that have battered the region during August and September.

Finally, the section linking carrefour Thiotte in Port-de-Paix, especially bumpy, causes a slowdown in traffic in the area. A situation causing breakdowns and damage to vehicles that frequent this area.
