Pedrica Saint Jean, the Ministry of Women's Affairs welcomes with satisfaction the graduation, Friday October 30, 2026, at the National Police Academy, of the 37th promotion of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-48786-haiti-37th-promotion-graduation-of-1-189-new-police-officers.html which welcomes into the ranks of the institution police force 1,189 new agents, including 242 women.

The Minister would like to extend her warm congratulations to these 242 new police officers who, through their commitment, their determination and their choice to serve the Haitian Nation, contribute to strengthening the presence and participation of women in a sector essential to public security. They represent 20.35% of the workforce in this promotion, a presence which deserves to be saluted and further encouraged.

For Minister Saint Jean, the integration of women in institutions responsible for security constitutes an important issue for promoting equality between women and men. Their presence in law enforcement contributes to the diversification of skills, the strengthening of trust between the population and institutions and the taking into account of the specific needs of women and girls in police interventions.

She encourages these new police officers to carry out their duties with professionalism, integrity, courage and a sense of duty, while making the protection of human rights and respect for the dignity of each person fundamental principles of their commitment.
