iciHaiti - Justice : Follow-up of arrests of the last election
In the election of October 25, nearly 200 people were arrested for various offenses including "[...] illegal possession of firearms, disturbing public order near voting centers, assault, stone throwing, illegal possession of ballot..." indicates the Ministry of Justice that states that the records of these people "have been processed or are being treated by justice."

In the cases treated:

In Port-au-Prince, 42 people were referred to the prosecutor, 2 cases were not followed up. 8 cases were referred to the judge's office (instruction) and 32 people are pursued at the correctional. 22 people have already been tried, including 21 convictions and one acquittal.

In Croix-des-Bouquets, the 3 people arrested were referred to the Correctional for assault.

In Fort Liberté out of 13 people arrested, 12 were transferred at the Correctional, 7 of them have been released and 5 convicted, in particular with fines. One of person was put in provisional release pending the hearing of his case.

In Hinche, on the 19 people arrested, 9 were referred to the Correctional Court, one was sentenced to 3 years in prison for possession of weapon and fire of voting center.
