Emmanuel Molière, Director General Technical Centre of exploitation of the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince to the National Directorate of Water Supply and Sanitation (DINEPA) promised at a press conference, a better distribution of drinking water in several areas, citing among other Bolosse, Carrefour Feuilles, Fontamara and Route des Dalles and the supply of drinking water in other areas that have never had access to this basic service.
DINEPA promises the rehabilitation of line pipes to address this problem in these areas but it denounces the acts of degradation [illegal connections, among others] suffered by piping systems and the presence of armed men that prevent technicians to properly perform the repair work [and disconnections] on just about 7 km pipe.
Emmanuel Molière, called the population of these areas to work with DINEPA for the repair of damaged pipes.
