iciHaiti - FLASH : Death of two women of the UNPOL police in Cap-Haitien

The United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) confirms the death, in Cap-Haitien, two women police officers who were part of the UNPOL component of the UN mission.

Stating "The lifeless bodies the two police officers were discovered on the morning of December 30, 2015 in their housing. An investigation was opened by a team of officers of the PNH and MINUSTAH officers to determine the exact circumstances of their deaths that would have occurred in the night of 29 to 30 December 2015."

Sandra Honoré, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Haiti has deplored this double loss and presented on behalf of the Minustah her condolences to the families of the victims and their comrades.
