iciHaiti - Politic : The Haitian students grateful for Dominican migration services
Recently, Haitian university students in the Dominican Republic, accompanied by the Ambassador of Haiti in Santo Domingo Magalie Magloire, expressed their gratitude to the Dominican migration authorities, that have documented in record time, many Haitian students to enable them to remain in the country until they finish their studies in the Dominican Universities, without risk of being arrested by Dominican authorities.

To this end, 3 recognitions plates were handed by the Ambassador of Haiti, one to the Director of Immigration, Rubén Darío Paulino Sem, another to the Director of Immigration, Colonel Andres Santos Melo and a third to the responsible for nonresidents section Licda. Amanda Silva.

Rubén Darío Paulino Sem, recalled that these regularisations reflect the decision of President Danilo Medina who ordered the provision of card to Haitian students at an affordable price and that this procedure was not only for Haitian students but also for all foreign students studying in the country, whatever their nationality.
