iciHaiti - Politic : Dominique Anglade, elected Minister of Economy of Quebec
Dominique Anglade, eldest daughter of the Haitian professor, geographer and writer Georges Anglade, and Mireille Neptune, a committed feminist, was appointed as the new Minister of Economy, Science and Innovation of Quebec within the government Philippe Couillard.

Although born in Montreal in 1974, she spent three years as a teenager in Haiti, while her parents had decided to return after the departure of the dictator Jean-Claude Duvalier.

Dominique Anglade has a significant experience in the business, she has the reputation of being ambitious, dynamic and gifted to make her place among the major companies of this world.

In 2010, she chaired the Canadian Conference 150 on behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada. From January 2012 to September 2013, she was President of the "Coalition avenir Québec". In 2015, she was a candidate for the Liberal Party of Quebec as part of a by-election in the riding of Saint-Henri-Sainte-Anne, where 9 November 2015 she was elected with 39% of votes. https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-15848-icihaiti-politic-first-woman-of-haitian-origin-elected-to-quebec-parliament.html
