The Ministry of Health proceeded to the delivery of these health facilities on Wednesday and Thursday, of medication (metronidazole, adrenaline, paracetamol etc...), input (gloves, gas solute etc...) and equipment (beds, refrigerators, wheelchairs etc...) allowing the emergency care of patients.
"If the negotiations between the authorities and the striking doctors lead this weekend, the health authorities provide us the minimum to be functional," explained Maurice Fils Mainville, director general of the HUEH.
Concerning the lifting of the strike, Dr. Mainville, Director of the HUEH explains that it is the responsibility of the Ministry to provide the university hospitals of materials and inputs sufficient and necessary to be operational (one of the claims resident physicians), stressing that such deliveries do not ensure that the residents will stop their strike, no agreement on the increase of their salary https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17361-haiti-health-irresponsible-strike-in-hospitals.html has been found so far with the Ministry.
