iciHaiti - Politic : instructions to local authorities for aid management
Friday at the National Palace, the de facto President Jocelerme Privert, accompanied by François Anick Joseph, the Minister of Interior and Territorial Communities, met with mayors, delegates and vice delegates of areas affected by the passage of the devastating hurricane Matthew, in the presence of rectors and / or university representatives of the areas concerned.

The best management of humanitarian aid to affected populations was at the heart of this meeting. Through this initiative, the Head of State sought to reinforce the capacity of local authorities in managing aid.

Jocelerme Privert urged delegates and vice delegates, the main representatives of the executive in the departments, to be impartial in the management and distribution of humanitarian assistance to different populations, noting "[...] no one must use the aid to political manipulation. It must be truly distributed to victims," asking the mayors to do the same.
