Learn More :

"Fist and Heel", founded in 1989, is a Brooklyn based company that explores the diversities between cultural anthropology and practices of movement and highlights the body as a true learning tool. The name "Fist and Heel" comes from the history of African slaves in the Americas, to whom were forbidden to use their drums. They have reinvented their spiritual traditions into a form of expressive art, forbidden by the white and black authorities who regarded it as simply "the adoration of fists and heels."

The programs and workshops are personalized for participants of all ages and levels of experience and are open to various groups interested in entertainment, movement and dance.
