iciHaiti - Culture : Closing of the International Jazz Festival

The President of the Republic, Jovenel Moïse, takes advantage of the closing of the 11th edition of the International Festival of Jazz in Port-au-Prince (4 to 11 March 2017), to greet the event and congratulate its promoters who knew open hrough this Festival a beautiful window on Haiti, by giving the possibility to artists and Jazz formations of Haiti, to play on the international scene and to be known by another audience.
The International Jazz Festival (PAPJazz) also allowed Port-au-Prince to host aplethora of big jazz names from Belgium, Mexico, France, Panama, the Netherlands, Martinique, Switzerland, Canada, Chile, Cuba and Spain https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-20153-haiti-music-11th-edition-of-the-port-au-prince-international-jazz-festival.html
The Head of State therefore encourages the Festival's initiators to continue this work which contributes greatly to the promotion of the practice of music in Haiti, and jazz, especially the Kreyòl jazz; and which offers young musicians access to vocational training.
