iciHaiti - Canada : A Haitian woman wins the Best scientific paper award
The Montreal School of Advanced Technology (ETS) is proud to announce that student Suze Youance, (Haitian woman of origin, emigrated to Montreal in 2006), Ph.D. in construction engineering and a lecturer in the ETS Construction Engineering Department, was awarded the prestigious Sir Casimir Gzowski Medal by the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE).

This award is given for the best scientific article in Canada, following publication in the Canadian Journal of Civil Engineering of an article by Suze Youance, on the consequences of earthquakes on hospital infrastructures entitled "Effect of Critical Sub-System Failures on the Post-Earthquake Functionality of Buildings: A Case Study for Montreal Hospitals" which summarizes her doctoral thesis.
