iciHaiti - Anse du Clerc : The Lamothe Foundation inaugurates the first 10 houses
On Friday, the Louis G. Lamothe Foundation (FLGL) inaugurated the first 10 houses rehabilitated in the town of Anse du Clerc, in the commune of Abricots (Department of Grand'Anse), with the collaboration of the Catholic NGO CARITAS, which carried out the work https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-21062-icihaiti-social-the-flgl-launches-the-rehabilitation-works-of-the-village-of-anse-du-clerc.html

The locality of Anse du Clerc, like many other places in the far south of Haiti, was severely hit on October 4, 2016 by the passage of hurricane Matthew of category 4. A few days later, following a mission the FLGL had promised to work to rehabilitate the fishing village of Anse du Clerc and to accompany the inhabitants in their quest for well-being.

During the keys handing ceremony to beneficiaries, former Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, honorary member of the FLGL in the presence of the Mayor of the commune of Abricots, Ricaldo Louis, local authorities and notables of the area, expressed satisfaction with the completion of Phase I of the Habitat Rehabilitation Project destroyed at Anse du Clerc and announced that 15 additional houses will be rebuilt during Phase II.
