Continuing its migratory control operations throughout the Dominican territory, the Directorate General of Migration (DGM) after intelligence work and denunciations has carried out operations in the province of Samaná (Northeast) specifically in the communities of Cruce Sanchez ,La Bonita, Come Pan, Jamito, La Ceiba and several areas of the urban area.

During these operations 211 Haitians were checked with biometric readers (162 men and 49 women) and after verification: 51 of our compatriots in an irregular migration situation were expelled by the border post of Dajabón while 6 others were handed over to the Dominican National Police for investigation purposes.

The DGM has informed that it will continue to carry out these operations in other provinces of the national territory, in addition to routine tasks and will continue to locate foreigners in violation of the provisions of Law 285-04 on migration.
