About 60 people, local authorities and technical managers are participating in this workshop, which aims at a better understanding and appropriation of the plans by the communities. Note that Cap-Haïtien and Ouanaminthe are the 6th and 7th communes of the country to have adopted this strategic tool, less than 2 years after the adoption by the Haitian Government of the Methodological Guide on the reduction of natural risks in urban areas in Haiti https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24025-haiti-dr-nearly-35-000-haitians-deported-or-turned-back-in-haiti-since-the-beginning-of-the-year.html Remember that Cap-Haïtien and Ouanaminthe are part of Haiti's municipalities more exposed to natural hazards.
