Wednesday at daybreak, on the instructions of the Lieutenant General, Máximo William Muñoz Delgado, Director of the Directorate General of Migration (DGM) migration control teams, composed of inspectors and agents of the DGM, with the support of members of the Armed Forces (FFAA), in coordination with the Provincial Public Prosecutor's Office, were deployed simultaneously in different areas of Santo Domingo North (Villa Mella) and East (El Almirante, El Hipodromo, San Isidro and Invivienda), as well as that in the Provinces of Santiago (Gurabo, Moneda Adentro, Don Pedro, Chiva, Portezuelo, Beijing, Villa Maria, Arroyo Bajo, Barrio Obrero) and La Altagracia (Otra Banda, Cruce of Verón y Bávaro).

These operations, which follow intelligence work based more and more on the denunciations of a part of the Dominican population, to locate Haitians in an irregular situation, have alowed to control more than 700 Haitians, 302 of them in irregular migration situations were transferred to the Elías Piña and Dajabón border posts for deportation to Haiti.

Let us note that these operations which are carried out on the whole territory multiply, force our compatriots to be very discrete during the day, to try to avoid the controls or to be denounced.
