Multiplying its migration control operations, the Directorate General of Migration (DGM) teams of inspectors, supervisors and agents of the DGM, with the support of members of the Dominican army and the national police, as well as representatives of the public prosecutor's office started new surprise operations simultaneously in different communities of the province of Bahoruco (South) including several sectors of the municipalities of Neiba, Los Ríos and Villa Jaragua.

The DGM teams checked 240 Haitians and after verification using biometric readers and the Ministry database, 143 Haitian nationals were declared in an irregular migration situation and taken to the border post of Jimaní to be registered and deported to Haiti. .

Lieutenant General Máximo William Muñoz Delgado, Director General of the DGM said that these operations will continue unexpectedly in other provinces and municipalities to continue to locate and control Haitians and deported the illegals in Haiti.
