iciHaiti - Health : More than 380,000 diabetics in the country

The Lorquet Foundation for a New Haiti (FOLONHA), associated with the Haitian Foundation for Diabetes and Cardiovascular Diseases (FHADIMAC) organized a day of screening for Diabetes and high blood pressure in Cazale. According to Joël Lorquet, the objective of this activity was to allow the population of Cazale to take stock of their health on these diseases that become a real global scourge and are silent killers.
According to Dr. Jeeph Sergilles, Vice President of FOLONHA, Cardio-Vascular Accident (CVA) is today in Haiti a real public health problem that should challenge all sectors of national life.
According to the Haitian Foundation for Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease (FHADIMAC), diabetics are estimated at more than 380,000 in the country.
