On October 30, the Subcommittee on Trade and Investment met at the premises of the Technical Secretariat of the Mixed Haitian-Dominican Commission, at Frères 18.

The discussions focused on the recommendations of a study conducted in 2012 by the Dominican side on the positioning of the cross-border binational market of Belladère / Elías Piña.

The Subcommittee also took the opportunity to discuss the outlook for the current fiscal year.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Haiti (CCIH), the CFI-HAITI Investment Facilitation Center (CFI) and the General Administration of Customs AGD participated in this meeting, however it should be noted that the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Association of Industries of Haiti and the Ministry of the Interior were not represented at this working session.
